For the forward down tubes we found this
to be the easiest way to mask them off.
Start by cutting a piece of masking tape about eight inches long, the blue low tack tape works the best.
Pinch the ends and stretch the tape out and slide it up into the opening, align the top of the tape with the bottom of the tube line and put it down.
Then, push on that piece to work out any air pockets. Define the cut edge and trim with an exacto knife. Repeat this process for all four surfaces to be masked
for the front down tubes.
We tried pre-cut maskings on these four areas, but they were next to impossible to get in; there was nothing to hold on to while
trying to move them up and in. This area is also the hardest to get paint into when air brushing, it takes about four to five coats to get enough into these tubes.
Pulling the sides out some when painting helps, if you have two extra hands.
The rest of the masking is pretty straight forward with the pre-cut pieces.
